The National President of Ijebu Youth Association and the Auditor of National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Ogun State, Comrade Okikiola Fayomi has lauded the thoughtfulness and humanitarian gesture of Gov Dapo Abiodun who has disclosed the readiness of his administration to provide about 100 trailers load of rice, beans and garri for the residents of the state.

Gov Abiodun reportedly disclosed this on Wednesday at the stakeholders meeting held at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

Okikiola said this great move and interventions of Gov Abiodun will help to ease the hardship Nigerians currently grapple with due to the challenging economy.

The youth leader said "Yesterday, Wednesday, Pastor Okikiola Fayomi had the honor of attending the Ogun State Stakeholders meeting alongside His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the esteemed Governor of Ogun State.

"The meeting served as a pivotal platform for addressing pressing issues and devising impactful strategies to uplift the citizens of Ogun State during challenging times.

"In a remarkable display of empathy and foresight, Governor Abiodun unveiled a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing essential food items to the citizens of Ogun State. Understanding the economic strain faced by many, especially amidst global uncertainties, the Governor announced the procurement of nearly 100 trailers of rice, garri, and beans.

"These staple commodities, essential for sustenance and nutrition, symbolize a beacon of hope and solidarity for the people of Ogun State.

"What sets this initiative apart is Governor Abiodun's commitment to fairness and equity in distribution. Recognizing the importance of ensuring that every citizen benefits from the relief efforts, the Governor has taken decisive steps to implement a system that prioritizes the needs of the elderly and vulnerable.

"For these segments of society, the rice will be provided free of charge, alleviating the burden of food insecurity and ensuring their well-being during these challenging times.

"Furthermore, in a move aimed at maintaining transparency and fairness, Governor Abiodun has extended the opportunity for other citizens to purchase the essential food items at the original price. This gesture not only ensures accessibility for all but also fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility in times of adversity.

"In a demonstration of unwavering support for education and youth empowerment, the Governor also announced a substantial allocation of 50,000 Naira to every student of tertiary institutions in Ogun State. This financial assistance, aimed at mitigating the hardships faced by students amidst economic challenges, reflects the Government's commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators.

"The decisions made at the Ogun State Stakeholders meeting underscore Governor Abiodun's unwavering dedication to the welfare and prosperity of the people of Ogun State.
