Imoru-Ijebu installs OOU PRO, Niyi Oduwole as Kakanfo 

Imoru-Ijebu in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State literally stood still on Tuesday as the Deputy Registrar in charge of the Coporate Affairs of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Ago Iwoye, Chief Adeniyi Oduwole was installed as the Kakanfo of the community.

Chief Oduwole, a Public Relations guru was honoured alongside other eminent indigenes of the community, including Otunba Abiodun Adesupo Awere, a retired Permanent Secretary from Ogun State Civil Service as well as Chief Mrs Kehinde Fatima Okunnuga installed as the new Iyalode of Imoru-Ijebu among others.

The installation was part of the activities lined up to celebrate the 80th birthday of the traditional ruler of the community, the Oru of Imoru-Ijebu, Oba (Engr) Munirudeen Adeposi Bashorun

Oba (Engr) Bashorun in his short remarks during the glamorous ceremony held at Mab-Royal Event Centre, Imoru-Ijebu, disclosed that the indigenes so honoured was as a result of their worthy contributions towards the development of the community.

The royal father said that "the community has decided to honour these worthy sons and daughters for being worthy ambassadors and for their unrepentant commitment to the continued development of our dear community. I therefore urged all of you to double up your support towards achieving our developmental goals for our Imoru-Ijebu town".

Speaking on his elevation, Chief Adeniyi Oduwole said "I am really excited at this honour and elevation. I must thank our father, the Oru of Imoru-Ijebu, Oba (Engr) Munirudeen Adeposi Bashorun for finding me worthy of this honour. 

"I will definitely see this as a further call to serve my community, actually, I am in the education sector, the education of the youth is always something that is uppermost in my mind, so I will always use this my new office to serve and make the community far better, that is the least we can do to justify the confidence reposed in us".
