COMTEAN visits Ogun CP, seeks enhanced security for members

The leadership of Computer Telecommunications Technicians Association of Ogun State (COMTEAN) on Tuesday paid courtesy visit to the  Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu

The visit was aimed at bolstering the security and safety of its members while also striking a cordial working relationship with the police state command 

The delegation, led by Comrade Wole Ademuyiwa Timothy, the State Chairman of COMTEAN, conveyed their concerns and sought guidance to mitigate theft incidents within their profession.

Comrade Wole  highlighted the challenges facing by their members one of which is the issue of insecurity which has made many of them lose their valuables to these marauding thieves.

The delegation earnestly requested the Commissioner's support and expertise to devise effective security measures for their technicians whose major work is the repair of phones, laptops, CCTV among other ICT devices.

They sought guidance on how to enhance the safety of their equipment and personnel, recognizing the critical role their association plays in the region's technological landscape.

"As an association that is saddled with repairs of telecommunications gadgets, laptops, CCTV and some other gadgets that's under ICT. We came to see the CP who has no doubt been doing a great work to let him know that we appreciate his proactivenes. However, sometimes our members fall victims of these robbers, we certainly need the police help us in this area. Security is also the business of everyone, we are also ready to support the the CP, Abiodun Alamutu and his team in their bid to make the state safer and be unconducive for the criminals.

Meanwhile Hyacinth Nnaji, the Remo Chairman of COMTEAN, also emphasized the significance of their work and expressed gratitude for the Commissioner's willingness to be a paternal figure for their association.
