Ayoola preaches selflessness, hope @ Easter

The founder of Obaruwa Foundation, Omooba Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola has celebrated with Nigerian Christians as they mark Easter festival which marked the end of the 40 days Lent period as well as the death and ressurection of our Lord Jesus Christ urging Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of selflessness and sacrifice as demonstrated by Christ at Calvary in order to have a greater nation

Ayoola, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Odogbolu Local Government, Ogun State disclosed that with greater sense of sacrifice, selflessness and love for all as portrayed by Christ on the cross, Nigeria will not only overcome its myriads of challenges but become one of the best nations of the world.

In a statement made available to journalists at Abeokuta on Sunday, the international trade expert explained that "I am using this medium to rejoice with our Christian brothers and sisters as we celebrate the Easter which symbolises the death and ressurection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is an occasion that is celebrated at the end of 40 days fast that we sometimes call Lent.

"The painful death of Jesus on the cross so as to save mankind teaches us sacrifice while his ressurection is also telling us that there is hope. It is against this background that I am calling on all of us as Nigerians to be ready to sacrifice for the betterment of this country.

"Those who are at helms of affairs must be ready to sacrifice and pursue programmes and policies that will help address our various challenges and put us at par with best nations of the world. I also want to urge Nigerians not to lose hope about the greatness of this country, all we have to do is to be more patriotic and cooperate with our leaders, particularly, the coming government of our President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that will spare nothing to ensure renewed hope for all Nigerians.

"I hereby wish Nigerians a wonderful celebration and pray that the almighty God will spare us all to witness many more in years to come".
