A former staff of Owoyemi Super Store located at Idiroko road area of Sango Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of Ogun State, one Ola Adeoye aged 28 has been arrested by men of Ogun state police command for burgling his former employer's office early morning of Thursday.
Açcording to statement from the Spokesman of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ola Adeoye, was arrested following a distress call received at Sango Ota divisional headquarters at about 1:45 am, that the store had been broken into by some robbers.
The statement disclosed further that "upon the distress call, the DPO Sango Ota, CSP Godwin Idehai, mobilized his men, and moved to the scene.
"On getting to the scene, it was discovered that the two storey building was broken into through the balcony of the second floor, and the MD's office had been ransacked with an attempt to break the company's safe.
"After diligent searching, the one man burglary squad was seen hiding in a water tank, from where he was promptly arrested.
"On interrogation, he confessed been a former staff of the company and that he was sacked a month ago".
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, has directed an in-depth investigation into the anticident of the suspect. He also ordered that the suspect be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.
