Osikoya congratulates Gov Abiodun, Ogunbanwo over APC primaries victory

Hon Seun Osikoya, who contested for the seat of Ijebu Central Federal Constituency during the party primary has congratulated Gov Dapo Abiodun for his landslide victory in the APC governorship primary held on Thursday at MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta.

Out of the available delegates' votes of 1170, Gov Abiodun had garnered 1168 votes to beat five other contestants and thereby secured the ticket for his second term.

Osikoya has equally congratulated Barr Olufemi Ogunbanwo fondly called Omo Iwa for clinching the party's ticket for Ijebu Central Federal Constituency which they both contested for.

In a statement made available to journalists at Abeokuta, the state capital on Sunday, Osikoya said "I wish to congratulate our hardworking governor and leader of our great party, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the well deserved victory at the governorship primary. 

"The landslide victory is nothing but an endorsement of your pragmatic leadership that had seen our dear state progressing at all fronts in the last three years. The teeming APC faithfuls are saying these good works should continue beyond May 2023 and the generality of the good people of Ogun State are ready to ratify this during next year general elections. 

"The sweet victory also coincides with your 62nd birthday and third year in office anniversary. My prayers for you now and always is that the almighty God will further strengthen you to take Ogun State to greater heights".

Rejoicing with Barr Ogunbanwo  for picking the ticket for the House of Representatives seat of Ijebu Central, Osikoya said "I want to congratulate my brother, Barr Olufemi Ogunbanwo fondly called Omo Iwa for winning the ticket we both contested for, the party has spoken and so be it. I hereby wish our learned brother the very best and by the grace of God during the forthcoming general elections, Omo Iwa will record a resounding success".
