Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday finally joined the race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari whose tenure expires next year.
Osinbajo’s formal declaration comes after many months of denials and calls on him by several groups to throw his hat into the ring.
He reportedly met the governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) last night at the State House, preparatory to his declaration on Monday.
“I am today, with utmost humility formally declaring my intention to run for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of APC,” he posted on his social media handles
