The Chairman of Oomoba Obaruwa Foundation, Prince Tunde Ayoola-Oresanya presenting cash gift to one of the pupils of Ogbogbo Primary School, Ogbogbo Ijebu recently.
The founder of Oomoba Obaruwa Foundation, Prince Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola has re-emphasised the need for Nigerian students to embrace hardwork and make excellence the focal point of their academic pursuits.
Prince Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola gave this counsel recently while presenting cash gifts to three students each from Basic 1-6 of Ogbogbo Primary School, Ogbogbo Ijebu who came first, second and third during the last session promotional examinations.
The philantropist who was represented by the Chairman of the Foundation, Prince Tunde Ayoola-Oresanya equally tasked other benevolent Nigerians and corporate organisations to join hands with the government in ensuring that every Nigerian child is educated.
Prince Adekunle Ayoola explained that ''my desire to support the education of Nigerian child stems from the fact that education plays a very important role in the life of an individual. I have also enjoyed some kind of support in my education while growing up and but for my education, probably I won't be where I am today.
"I am also aware that the government has a lot of other challenges to confront with, so in the midst of rising poverty and dwindling resources even for the government, it is just patriotic all of us reach out in our own way, no matter how little to support the education of these children. Solutions to many challenges of the world and Nigeria in particular lies in the hands of these children. This is why we all must play our roles very well either as an individual, group or corporate organisations".
The philantropist equally charged the pupils to remain committed to their studies and be determined to make success stories out of their lives irrespective of whatever difficulties they are currently confronted with, assuring them that there is always light at the end of the tunnel and of course, sunshine after the rain.
In his short remarks, the Headmaster of the school, Mr Talabi was of immense gratitude to Omooba Obaruwa Foundation for deeming it right to support the education of the younger ones who are certainly the leaders of tomorrow.
Mr Talabi explained that kind gesture like this would not only help in complementing efforts of the government but also encourage the students to go for excellence and remained dedicated to their studies.
The Headmaster pleaded with other kind-hearted people and corporate organisations to also take a cue from the humanitarian act of Oomoba Obaruwa Foundation and support the government in providing quality education for every Nigerian child.
