The newly installed 2021-2022 President of the Rotaract Club of Ikenne Remo, Rotr. Ishola Oluwatosin Rebecca has promised to use her tenure to uplift humanity and make the world a better place for all.
Rotr. Ishola Oluwatosin Rebecca has therefore appealed to public spirited Nigerians and corporate organisations to join forces with her as she was determined to make positive difference in the life of people just as it is typical of Rotaract Club around the world
Oluwatosin made this promise after she was installed on Saturday as the 6th President of Rotaract Club of Ikenne held at Obafemi Awolowo Recreation Hall, Ikenne Remo.
The investiture ceremony had in attendance dignitaries such as Alakenne of Ikenne, Oba Adeyinka Onakade; Hon. Segun Seriki, Hon Segun Awoyomi, Arole Lanre Sotunde as Chairman of the occasion and many others.
She highlighted some of the programmes she hoped to embark on to include support for pregnant women, donation of school uniforms, bags, sandals and books to students in public schools among others.
The newly installed President later led other dignitaries at the investiture to present school bags, uniforms and sandals to students of selected public primary schools in Ikenne local government.
Speaking earlier, the Immediate past President of the club, Rotr. Odumaye Babatunde listed some of his achievements to include donation of water borehole to Ikenne community, organising of vocational training on tie and dye where over fifty people benefited, membership training on the ideals of Rotary Club among others.
his opening speech, Chartered President, of the club, Rtr. Tosin Ikunika had appealed for generous donations towards the support of the good work of Rotary which all around the world is known to be selfless service towards uplifting humanity saying that, their rock solid support would go a long way to help the Rotaract Club achieve its success or otherwise in the new year.
Highlight of the programme included presentation of award of meritorious service to the Alakenne of Ikenne, Oba Adeyinka Onakade as well as Hon Segun Seriki.
