A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ago Iwoye, Ijebu North local government, Engr Segun Kaka has said that time is now for his kinsmen to multiply their support and cooperation for Gov Dapo Abiodun to ensure that the long abandoned Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road project was fixed without further delay.
Engr Segun Kaka while speaking with newsmen on Thursday, when Gov Abiodun's local government campaign team berthed at Ijebu North said that he was the happiest man on earth having heard the governor assuring that he would attend to fixing Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road.
Gov Abiodun was said to have stated that it took him so much pain, rigour and negotiations to resolve out of court the litigation on the Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road project inherited from the immediate past administration of Sen Ibikunle Amosun.
Engr Kaka said "I am really happy today and I am sure many residents of the whole Ijebu North local government will certainly be excited over the readiness of our hardworking governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to help us out on this Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road that is very crucial to adding values to our everyday life.
"The governor said that government has resolved the litigation over the road project and that just very soon, work will commence on the road, it's really a welcome good news because of the project capacity to advance development in three local government areas coupled with the ongoing Agro cargo airport project
We thank the governor for being so sincere and committed in serving his people and I am assuring him that his second term in office is already a done deal"
Engr Segun Kaka added that "with the favourable disposition of Gov Abiodun to enhancing development in Ago Iwoye and Ijebu North as a whole, I am sure that our people will reciprocate by coming out in their thousands to vote APC in the forthcoming local government elections and of course, ensure that the governor is returned for another term in 2023.
"I also advise that our elders in the local government should not be far from the governor. They should from time to time communicate with the governor particularly on getting this Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road project fixed just as the governor has promised".
