Ogun 2023: CAFI, DA Mandate4+4 in talks for groundbreaking alliance

Ahead of plans to help the All Progressives Congress (APC) retain power beyond 2023 both at the state and federal level, two social-political groups, Change Agent Foundation International (CAFI) and Dapo Abiodun Mandate have both began talks of combining forces to strengthen the ruling party through aggressive and systematic mobilisation across the length and breadth of Ogun State.

The readiness of the two groups to work together with the sole aim of ensuring that the APC continue its good work beyond 2023 came to the fore when some members of CAFI led by Hon Olushola Oyapidan met recently with Engr Segun Kaka, one of the apex leaders of DA Mandate4+4 in the state.

Hon Olushola Oyapidan explained that CAFI which was inaugurated about three weeks ago at MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta  with the wife of the governor of the state, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun decorated as its Patroness is out to mobilise support for the continued victory of Prince Dapo Abiodun in 2023 among other flagbearers of APC from the state to the federal level.

He said "we have decided to come around to talk with DA Mandate, another formidable group that is also pursuing same vision as we do to come on board with us. Engr Segun Kaka, one of the apex leaders of the group actually attended the inauguration of our group and we can see in him to be a true progressive.

"He is a lover of good governance and he is so committed to 4+4 mandate for our hardworking governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, so it is his caliber of persons and groups that are well grounded in progressive politics that we want and I am sure that our working together will further take the state to greater height".

Responding, Engr Segun Kaka congratulated CAFI members for the successful inauguration of the group last month which had in attendance several people from across the state.

Engr Segun Kaka, a top-notch politician from Ijebu North local government said that the DA Mandate4+4 would not hesitate to form working alliance with a formidable group as CAFI since the vision of the two groups is centred on ensuring victory for Prince Dapo Abiodun beyond 2023.

The APC juggernaut lauded Gov Abiodun for remaining committed to actualising his electoral promises through his ''Building Our Future Together Agenda" saying that no efforts should be spared to ensure that the hardworking governor is rewarded with another term of four years in 2023, after all, one good term is said to deserve another".

Dignitaries at the meeting were Otunba (Dr) Elijah Gbadamosi JP, Bada of Igbein, Hon Olanrewaju Olaonipekun, Hon Olanrele Ogunde and  Hon Abiodun aka Human Being among others.

Meanwhile, Engr Segun Kaka has also used the medium to call on Gov Abiodun to help in fixing the long abandoned Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road insisting that economic value of the road is so much that it could no longer be left unattended to

The APC chieftain said "I have to use this occasion to appeal to Gov Dapo Abiodun to help us with the reconstruction of Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road, it is the best dividend of democracy my people at Ago Iwoye and Ijebu North at large could ever wished for, from the people's governor.

"We trust that God will use you to take away this agonizing pains and wipe away our tears of several years. Irrespective of any reported litigation you might have said to have inherited over this very important road from the previous government, the pleas on the lips of my people is that you should just find away to etch your name in gold and help with the reconstruction of this road before the end of your first term in office. May the almighty God continue to strengthen you in this onerous assignment of taking the state to greater height"
