Alhaja Mujidat Funmilayo Sholola, a top contender for the seat of Ikenne local government in the forthcoming local government elections has described it as pure falsehood and cheap propaganda the report making the rounds that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ikenne local government has settled down for Alhaji Jamiu Asimi fondly called Ya Jamiu as its consensus Chairmanship candidate.
Alhaja Mujidat Funmilayo Sholola, an highly successful business tycoon and the only female aspirant in the local government disclosed that as against these tissues of lies, the elders of the party actually picked her and Ya Jamiu as the shortlisted Chairmanship aspirants for the local government.
The visibly angry topnotch politician and grassroots mobiliser of repute while speaking over this online report said that " this report is nothing but figment of imagination of the writer, it's pure lies because the leaders of the party during the meeting held last week Monday pruned down the list of Chairmanship aspirants in the local government to two, and that is myself and Ya Jamiu.
"How come someone is now twisting the fact? Is it because my ambition represents what is best for the people of Ikenne local government or what? So, the true report is that I am still a leading aspirant in the race and I so much trust God and our hardworking governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun that he will make the right choice when the time comes".
