Jigin-Mbi Royal Foundation and Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation, Poland have congratulated Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission over the conferment of another honorary Doctorate degree by the Smart Island University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Conferring the award on Dabiri-Erewa in Saudi Arabia, the Registrar of the institution, Dr Mohammed Dhaidan Al-Mutairi was said to have eulogised the NiDCOM boss for her diligence and relentlessness in serving the interest of her country's national contributing to a better society in other part of the world
Al-Mutairi said that the award was bestowed on Dabiri-Erewa due to her giant strides in humanitarian and diaspora affairs.
The Registrar noted that the University has almost 90 Nigerian students , studying various courses at the University.
Al-Mutairi said Dabiri-Erewa was considered appropriate for the honour for her pioneering efforts in diaspora relations and other humanitarian gestures.
In a congratulatory statement sent to journalists on Wednesday and signed by Dr Emanuel Kalejaiye, who doubles both as the Chairman of Jigin-Mbi Royal Foundation and Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation, Poland, hailed Dabiri-Erewa for being a shining light in the international community.
Kalejaiye said "The Nigerians in Poland received with utmost gladness the news of another feather of honour added to the cap of our charming Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa in far away Saudi Arabia.
"The decision of the Smart Island University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to bestow on Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa an honorary Doctorate degree of the university is a huge validation of her several years of exemplary leadership and utmost diligence
"We hereby rejoice with Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa for this deserving honour and pray that the Almighty God will continue to guide her steps aright as she remains committed to serving humanity".
