A Commissioner designate and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ijebu Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government area of the state, Alhaji Ademola Balogun Klass has described the victory of Gov Dapo Abiodun at the tribunal over the weekend as well deserved and another confirmation that the opposition party had all along been chasing shadow.
Alhaji Balogun disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists at Abeokuta, the state capital.
The APC chieftain said it was so glaring to note that of all those who contested the 2023 governorship in the state, Gov Abiodun towered above them all because of his fantastic achievements during his first term office as well as his inclusive approach to governance in the state.
He said "I and many members of our party have always trusted the Almighty God for this victory at the Tribunal, I am always convinced that the case at the tribunal was that of somebody who was rejected at the polls for not having what it takes to govern a state as sophisticated as Ogun but now seeking to come in through the backdoor.
"Thank God for the vigilance of the judges at the tribunal as well as our team of highly resourceful and dedicated team of lawyers. The truth has again been affirmed by the tribunal and Gov Abiodun has been given the clearance to continue his good works till 2027".
Alhaji Klass as he is popularly called while congratulating Gov Dapo Abiodun has however urged the opposition to join force with the Governor in taking the state to greater heights
