Ogun FRSC arrest man driving car with three tyres, charges him to court 

Ogun State Sector Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Thursday said its operatives during their routine patrol on Abeokuta-Siun-Sagamu expressway have arrested one Adeyinka driving a three-tyre Toyota Camry car with registration number FFF 522 TK.

The arrest of Adeyinka on Monday according to statement from the Spokesperson of the Sector Command, Florence Okpe was in line with the directive of the Corps Marshall on total clampdown on rickety vehicles.

Okpe said that the enforcement against people like Adeyinka who have no respect for traffic rules was intensified after the video of an ash colour Mazda car driving with three tyres on the same Abeokuta-Siun-Sagamu expressway went viral. He was said to have been charged to court immediately to answer for his misdeeds

The statement reads "in line with Corp's Marshall directive on total clampdown on rickety vehicles  led to the arrest of a Toyota Camry car moving with only 3 tyres along Abeokuta - Sagamu Expressway on Monday 4  Sept. 2023.

"The arrest of the Toyota Camry car with registration number  FFF 522 TK was made by a patrol team of FRSC Ogun Sector Command, Abeokuta  while performing their statutory duties and the driver  Mr Adeyinka   charged to Court accordingly.

"The enforcement against dangerous vehicles was intensified by FRSC Ogun State Command after a recent video of a car moving with 3 tyres along the same Abeokuta - Sagamu Expressway went viral".

The Ogun State Sector Commander, Anthony Uga has however advised motorists to  obey traffic rules and regulations and also

shun any acts that will  jeopardize their safety and that of other road users.
