Omooba Ayoola. President Tinubu
An Ogun State chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and founder of Omooba Obaruwa Foundation, Prince Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola has hailed President Bola Tinubu over his last night address to the nation, saying that the President had by his outline of various interventions to mitigate the effects of the unavoidable subsidy removal from petroleum products truly reaffirmed his mandate to renew hope of Nigerians.
President Tinubu had during the broadcast to the nation agreed that the subsidy removal policy had brought some difficulties the way of Nigerians but he had begged them to bear with him saying that the fruits of the sacrifice which they would soon begin to enjoy are much sweeter and outweigh the pains.
Tinubu had said that in about two months, the country had saved a trillion naira from the subsidy removal and this he said were huge resources that should be spent to provide good governance for the people but would have ended in private pockets in the name of subsidy.
The President, among other various interventions announced plans to provide 3000 CNG buses, N100bn support for agricultural purposes, N75bn as soft loan for our manufacturing sector, N125bn to support small medium businesses among others.
Ayoola said "the President speech is another confirmation that he is not ready to abandon the country to all the painful realities of the subsidy removal. He has again demonstrated that he could feel what an ordinary Nigerian on the street feels and the reason he announced those far reaching measures that will no doubt
assuage the pains of subsidy removal.
I want to say that with the submission of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his national broadcast, it just confirms that his mandate and determination to renew our hope in the country is on track, we just have to keep praying and supporting this government so that it can really take us as a nation to a more prosperous height".
