So-Safe arrests fake army officer in Ogun



The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps popularly called So-Safe Corps has apprehended Sanni Alhaji Ayuba for faking to be a military personnel.

Ayuba was said to have recently posed to be a military officer and thereby obstructed the arrest of some alleged cultists around Adigbe and Opako in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state 

This was according to a release issued on Tuesday from the office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.

The statement revealed further that the officers attached to the Directorate of Operation of the Corps under ACC Adesina Adedamola deployed his team to get the suspected cult boys arrested during when two of them were captured but to the Corps dismay, Ayuba who was at the scene flashed a military Identity Card and stopped the officers from performing their duties while the suspects were hijacked and escaped with handcuff.

Ganzallo further revealed that the suspected fake military man was later arrested and thoroughly investigated, while the other two accomplices who claimed to be Naval Officers, escaped arrest. Ayuba was said to have allegedly confessed to the crime.

Items recovered from the suspect included army Camouflage Scarf, fake Army ID Card, Jack Knife, itel phone, three Atm Cards, WASSCE ID Card among others. Ayuba was said to have been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
