A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Otunba Segun Showunmi has joined millions across the globe to celebrate the Awujale and Paramount ruler of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona on the auspicious occasion of his 89 birthday
Otunba Segun Showunmi, while rejoicing with Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona on the occasion of his 89th birthday, described the highly revered royal father as an epitome of class, candour and rare gift of leadership and administration that has distinguished his 63 years reign not only in Ogun State but across the nation.
The Egba born politician saluted the Awujale for his love for humanity and selflessness which drives his various philanthropic gestures such as the construction of Institute for Governance Studies Building Complex at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye built and commissioned to commemorate the royal father's 89th birthday on Wednesday, May 10.
Showunmi said "You are the monarch that has the respect of a greater number of Yorubas, your carriage, candour, class and general imperial aura are why we all celebrate you.
"Happy birthday Ogbagba Agbaotemole, anikinlaya saogun. Oba sikiru Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebu land, the paramount ruler of the Ijebu kingdom, Omo Olu-Iwa, thank you for what you keep doing.
"Today, you added another milestone with the commissioning of the Institute for Governance Studies Building Complex at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, in commemoration of your 89th birthday on Wednesday 10th May 2023.
