..rallies support for Gov Abiodun's victory on Saturday

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ewuren in Ijebu East Local Government, Omooba Omokayode Anwojue has recently empowered over 500 people with cash gift, food packs among others.

The beneficiaries of the empowerment programme were said to have been picked across the three local governments of Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside which makes up Ijebu Central Federal Constituency.

Powered by Anwojue Foundation, the APC top-notch leader disclosed that the kind gesture was his own little way of supporting the ruling party and of course complementing the good works of Gov Dapo Abiodun in the state.

He explained that the governor has no doubt raised the banner of good governance by ensuring that projects that were embarked upon did not only cut across the state but were also in tandem with the yearnings of the rural dwellers.

Anwojue disclosed that the empowerment programme would go a long way to make lives more bearable for the people while it will also give further credibility to APC as a party that cares for the upliftment of the people.

Why drumming support for the re-election bid of Gov Abiodun, the APC chieftain urged the people of Ijebu land to come out in their large numbers on Saturday and vote for the governor saying that it was the only way to reward the state helmsman for his sincere and committed interest to serve in the last four years.

Anwojue who also used the occasion of the empowerment to lay foundation of an ultramodern mosque in Ewuren community promised to always be there to support his people with his God's given resources.

Speaking at the programme, the Coordinator of Coalition of Ijebu Youths and Students, Comr Olufemi Oyenuga has however lauded Omooba Anwojue for his thoughtfulness and love for the people, especially the youth, who formed the largest beneficiaries of the empowerment programme urging other privilege members of the society to draw one or two lessons from him as well as his favourable disposition to helping to put smiles on the faces of the people.
