Mr. Adeyemi Babatunde Adelaja, Co-ordinator for Dapo Abiodun Continuity Agenda (DACA) in Ogun East senatorial district has said that the convener of this support group, Mr Armstrong 'Tope Akintunde deserved prayers and commendation of all for making huge sacrifices every hour to see to the return of Gov Dapo Abiodun come 2023.
Adeyemi Adelaja said he was however not surprised with the various selfless efforts of Akintunde aimed at supporting Gov Abiodun to continue his good job beyond 2023 saying that the APC chieftain has always been a politician and technocrat who wanted the best for the people.
The estate merchant gave this commendation while speaking with journalists during the launching of over 100, 000 campaign materials comprising of branded T shirts and fez caps among others by DACA over the weekend
Adelaja said "there is no doubt that Mr Armstrong Akintunde is rare breed politician, a very conscientious one whose love for the people sometimes amazes me. His commitment and dedication towards returning Gov Abiodun for another term come 2023 is legendary.
"I wouldn't however blame him because all of us could see what the governor is doing with his first term in office. His excellent performance in the area of infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, housing, employment generation among others are there for all to see, so the governor really deserves to be rewarded with another term in office come 2023
He said with the distribution of various campaign materials and enlistment of thousands of foot soldiers across the 20 local governments by DACA, it is just becoming clearer day by day that Gov Abiodun's second term was already mission accomplished.
"Our goals is to raise at least between 10,000 to 15,000 votes per each of the 20 local government areas in the state and we thank God that everything is going as planned. We have consistently been growing in membership in DACA and our volunteers have been doing
so much across our 236 wards raking in support for the second term bid of Gov Dapo Abiodun.
"While we thank God as well as our teeming members for their love for the state and particularly, Gov Abiodun, we must point out the singular efforts of the convener of this support group, Mr Armstrong 'Tope Akintunde who has been making his hard earned resources both financial and materials available to see to the success of the foremost goal of this group, which is to rally support for the second term bid of Gov Dapo Abiodun".
Adelaja, while saying that Armstrong deserves prayers and cooperation of all for leaving no stone unturned to ensure landslide victory for the ruling party next year, the property merchant said that other members of the party should learn from DACA convener and double up their efforts towards retaining power in 2023.
