Prince Segun Kaka, while speaking with journalists at Abeokuta on Wednesday, disclosed that the coming on board of Gov Abiodun has brought great relief to the residents of Ago Iwoye and its environs through several intervention and developmental projects spanning road construction, rehabilitation of schools, health centres among others.
Kaka said "there is no disputing the fact that Gov Dapo Abiodun has been very good to us in Ago Iwoye and other adjoining towns of Oru, Awa and Ilaporu that we call Ifelodun constituency. For instance, take a look at the almost completed Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road that had been abandoned for over 10 years. The governor went as far as settling over N4bn law suit on this road project to get it done. Now the road has opened up the economy of this axis and everyone is happy.
"The governor has also done the 2km Igan road, that project is a world-class standard with covered drainage and culverts. There's also this road from Oru to Mamu that the governor has done likewise rehabilitation of schools and health centres among others.
"The people are quite appreciative of the favourable disposition of Gov Abiodun to seeing to the yearnings of the people at the grassroots. Irrespective of whatever crude attitude anybody may be exhibiting against the governor, it is so insignificant to the love and support the people of these towns are having for the government of Gov Abiodun.
"I am saying it categorically that the people of Ifelodun have resolved to use their massive votes to ensure that the promise keeping Governor, His Excellency prince Dapo Abiodun's second term is a resounding success.
"This second term bid of Gov Abiodun is so dear to our hearts in Ago Iwoye and environs that we have been doing our mobilisation from Ward to Ward and without mincing words, it's going to be a landslide victory for APC and the governor in 2023".
