Ogun APC chieftain, Ayoola becomes Mayegun of Oodua youth worldwide

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Ogun State and founder of Omooba Obaruwa Foundation, Prince Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola has urged Nigerian youths to take more than passing interest in the politics and governance of the country.

Adekunle Ayoola disclosed that the youth being over 65% of the country's population should be able to utilise their obvious population strength towards entrenching good governance and accountable leadership in the country.

The political scientist and security expert condemned a situation whereby the youth would only prefer to be active on social media without registering and collecting their Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) with which they could use to bring in a desirable government

Ayoola stated this when he was honoured recently at Ijebu Ode Club with the award of Mayegun of Oodua youth worldwide by the Oodua Youth Parliament.

As the 2023 general election is gathering momentum, Ayoola begged the youths not to be willing tools of destruction as political thugs but to rather support every effort to strengthen the country's growing democracy while also providing that qualitative leadership that would take Nigeria to greater heights.

The political strategist and philanthropist appreciated the Oodua Youth Parliament for the befitting award disclosing that he would always be devoted to serving humanity while also identifying with youth development and their prosperity across the country.

Speaking earlier, AbdulMajeed Oyeniyi, the President of Oodua Youth Parliament said that the award was to appreciate Prince Adekunle Ayoola's various efforts at supporting youth development and empowerment through his (Ayoola's) investment in agricbusiness which is helping to put food on the table of many Nigerian youths.

The association whose membership cut across the Southwestern States also commended the APC stalwart for his various philanthropic support for the students, widows among other vulnerable in the country urging him to never relent in his push for a better Nigeria.
