Hon Kadiri Oyewole Sholola has equally sent his warm wishes to Hon Kunle Sobunkola for winning the party's ticket to represent Ikenne State Constituency at the assembly come next year.
Hon Sholola in his congratulatory message to Gov Dapo Abiodun described the governor as a worthy leader and quintessential politician who has raised the bar of qualitative governance in the state.
He said "it is quite obvious that Gov Abiodun has done pretty well since assuming office three years ago. He has touched everywhere, he has led the state with sincerity and committment to redefine governance.
"I really appreciate our delegates for doing the needful and I have that assurance that come 2023, by the special grace of God, Gov Abiodun will record another landslide to continue with his good works".
Sholola who actually stepped down for Sobunkola at the venue of the primary said he did that as a mark of respect for the governor as well as the wishes of the party.
Announcing his withdrawal from the race, the UK trained Chemical and Environmental Engineer revealed that he believes in party supremacy and would therefore not go against whatever is thought to be the best for the party.
He thereafter urged his supporters to cast their votes for Hon Sobunkola who is currently representing the constituency at the assembly.
Congratulating Sobunkola for picking his second term ticket, Engr Sholola pledges to mobilise and ensure that the ruling party retain the seat during next year elections.
