The PDP House of Representatives aspirant for Ijebu East, Ijebu North and Ogun Waterside federal constituency, Hon Kehinde Bello has rallied support for the governorship ambition of Hon Ladi Adebutu during the forthcoming primaries of the party later this month.
Hon Kehinde Bello said that the eventual emergence of Hon Oladipupo Adebutu, who he described as a fantastic philanthropist and great manager of men and resources, as the next governor of the state, would automatically bring to end all the hardships the APC government had imposed on the people.
The business magnate fondly called Kenny Bello has equally appealed to the delegates to consider him worthy of being the flag bearer of the party in 2023 for the seat of the federal constituency of Ijebu North/Ijebu-East/Ogun Waterside and should therefore cast their votes for him during the party's primaries.
Bello disclosed this on Tuesday while meeting with the delegates and other leaders of the party at Abigi, the headquarters of Ogun Waterside Local Government.
He said "we are all living witnesses to the uncommon love that Hon Ladipupo Adebutu has for the people of the state. He has always found joy in deploying his resources to strengthen the party and provide various succour for the people. He has been very selfless with his rare kind of leadership and the truth is that, it is someone like him that we should encourage and support to be the next governor of the state.
"This APC induced poverty, hunger, insecurity among others must not be made to continue in our dear state after May 29, 2023. Hon Ladipupo Adebutu is capable and we would be doing ourselves and our families lots of good if we all rally round him and make his governorship dream a reality. I therefore plead that as delegates you will not hesitate to give Hon Oladipupo Adebutu your votes and make him our party's governorship candidate for the 2023 general elections".
The business magnate also faulted the fact that his Ijebu East local government has never been allowed to produce a federal lawmaker saying that, in the spirit of fairness and oneness, the next occupant of the seat of Ijebu-North/Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside should be allowed to come from Ijebu-East.
While pledging representation with a difference, Bello said "having been staying abroad for quite some time now, I have the exposure, the wherewithal, the capacity to turn things around for the good of my federal constituency if given the opportunity to serve. I believe that time is now to begin to work for efforts that will make life a lot easier for our people.
"I am a typical Ijebu-Imushin son as you are well aware, I have my houses here in Ijebu and Lagos. I am in touch with the needs of my people and federal constituency, I have identified the yearning gaps and I am ready to offer myself to feel those gaps. Those that have been representing us have done their very best within their capacities but our ideologies and perspectives to issues of governance are quite different".
He has therefore urged the party delegates during the party's primaries to support his House of Representatives ambition promising to use his broadbased experience and favourable disposition to selfless leadership to turn things around for the good of the people of the federal constituency.
