After 32 months of closure , president ,Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the re-opening of four additional land border posts closed.
It would be recalled that the border was closed in August ,2019 as part of a policy geared towards efforts to prevent the smuggling of illegal arms, food & agricultural products to stimulate local production.
This was according to a release on Friday by the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), signed by the Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, E.I Edorhe on behalf of the Customs CG.
The circular revealed that Idiroko, Jibiya, Kamba and IKon borders should be re-opened with immediate effect.
This piece of news was said to have been received with jubilation by residents around Nigerian border towns as well as in Republic of Benin.
