Diaspora PDP Reformers and PDP National Women Parliament have described the party's governorship candidate for the July 16 election in Osun State, Sen Ademola Adeleke as an highly resourceful politician and gifted leader who has all it takes to make the people of Osun State put behind them the misfortune of APC-led government in the state.
The two political groups have therefore appealed to the people of the state increase their support for Sen Adeleke, the PDP flagbearer in the coming governorship election in the state disclosing that the ambition of the one time Senator representing Osun West is anchored on making life more bearable for every resident of the state.
Speaking on behalf of the groups, Mrs. Olanike Babawande, warned the residents of the state, not to allow a repeat of the 2018 election during when the party was robbed of victory calling for vigilance before, during and after the election.
Mrs. Babawande, who is also the Diaspora Coordinator for PDP National Women Parliament said that the ruling APC government in the state has nothing to offer again apart from the usual insecurity and failed economic ideologies, adding that if Sen. Ademola Adeleke receive the necessary support of the people, the state will achieve the desired peace, progress and robust economic development that it deserves to lift all into prosperity
"Osun state people should show APC that the era of inconclusive and rigged elections is over in the state, and they should not allow the enemy of the people who camouflaged themselves as elders in the society to trick them again.
"Osun state people are wiser now and APC can no longer deceive us with lies and deceit again. We now know that we need the People’s Democratic Party and Sen. Ademola Adeleke for the state to move forward positively in economic prosperity, statewide security and as well as in infrastructural development," Babawande said.
She also reiterated that the state is desirous of a leader in the mould of an highly enterprising and innovative leader as Sen Adeleke who understands the yearnings of both the youths and women all in a bid to take Osun State to higher height.
Babawande has however, stated that the party is optimistic of emerging victorious in the forthcoming governorship election, urging the people of the state to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) ready as this remain the only weapon they need to chase the non-performing APC government out of power.
