Engr Segun Kaka and Gov Abiodun
Engr. Segun Kaka, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ago Iwoye has hailed Gov Dapo Abiodun for making his words to be his bond by mobilising contractors back to the site of the long abandoned dualisation project of Ago Iwoye-Ilisan road just as the governor had promised while presenting this year budget to the legislature last December.
Engr Segun Kaka disclosed that, it was a thing of joy and indescribable excitement for the people of Ago-Iwoye and its environs to see the contractor beginning work on the very important road to rejuvenation of the economy of that axis of the state.
The APC stalwart said he was particularly happy that Gov Abiodun, because of his committed interest to make life more comfortable for the residents of the state no matter where, was able to resolve N6bn litigation bottleneck which was part of the blockage mitigating against the construction of the road.
He said "we have no doubt suffered untold hardship over the neglect of this very, very important road for many years. It has really affected our economy in this axis. This road links at least three local governments of Ikenne, Odogbolu and Ijebu North. It's very important to boosting of our agricbusiness because even one of the largest farm settlements owned by the state government is along this road.
"You also know that the ongoing Agro-Cargo Airport is along this axis from the Ilisan end of the road, the road equally leads to our foremost tertiary institution, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU). We are really happy and grateful to the governor for being this courageous and committed to fixing this road once and for all.
"We are equally telling our hardworking governor that the people of Ijebu North will not fail to reciprocate this kind gesture with maximum mobilisation for his second term bid. This is surely a case of one good term deserves another".
