Pastor's wife locks door for husband to rape 16-yr-old chorister in Ogun

Ogun state police command has narrated how a Pastor with Christ Apostolic Bible Church, Oke Saje, Abeokuta, one Peter Taiwo and his wife, Elizabeth Taiwo were arrested for colluding to defile a 16-yr-old member of the church choir (name withheld)

According to statement from the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the randy Pastor and his wife were said to have been picked up by the police on Friday, December 10, 2021 after the victim lodged complaint against them at Adatan Divisional headquarters, Abeokuta.

The 16-yr-old chorister was said to have reported that while she went to the church for choir practice, the Pastor's wife told her to go and meet the Pastor in their room because the he wanted to send her on errand. 

She stated further that as soon as she got into the room, the Pastor's wife locked the door from outside, consequent upon which the Pastor Peter Taiwo overpowered her, and forcefully had sex with her. 

The victim explained further that the Pastor's wife, Elizabeth later came in after her husband had satisfied himself and met her crying. She said the Pastor's wife however told her to stop crying as she is now a woman after which she then warned her never to tell anybody or else she would die. 

Upon the report, the DPO Adatan division, SP Salaudeen Abiodun was said to have quickly detailed his detectives to the scene, where the randy Pastor and his wife were promptly apprehended. 

On interrogation, the couple was said to have confessed to the crime but blamed the it on the devil. Both the husband and wife were also said to have pleaded for forgiveness from the victim. The victim was also said to have been taken to  hospital by the police for medical treatment. 

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation, with the view to charge them to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
