New EES President, Luwoye unfolds agenda for development of Egba land

The newly elected President for Egba Economic Summit (EES) Chief Shina Luwoye, an oil and gas merchant, has said that his tenure would be devoted to pursuing rapid socio-economic development of Egba land.

Chief Shina Luwoye gave this assurance on Friday at the Annual General Meeting of EES while giving his acceptance speech as the new helms man for the association.

He said the era of giving excuses for not achieving the shared vision of the socio-economic group, which bordered on expanding the frontiers of abundant development opportunities in Egba land was over, promising to ensure his leadership brought life back to the dying vision of the association.

Talking on raising the bar of the association, Chief Luwoye promised to within three months bring the think-tank group at par with Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) for the advancement of every sector of the economy in Egba land.

He explained further that since majority of members of the group seemed to be quite busy with their various businesses and which he said was undoubtedly affecting the effectiveness of the group, his leadership would source and engage a reputable global consultancy firm to develop Medium Term Goals for the group, plans for Egbaland as well as the EES Operating Model. 

The Egba Chief said the term of reference for the consultancy services shall be agreed upon by the governing council  of the group and that with this step the group would be re-envisioned while reconnecting with all past leaders, members and also reassuring new members.

The oil and gas merchant disclosed further that his leadership would also resolve the accommodation challenge confronting the association, put up a working secretariat for the group with the employment of a Secretary who will see to the daily running of the association.

Chief Luwoye while thanking  members of the group for the privilege giving to him to serve equally asked for further cooperation, support and sacrifices that are required to pursue the singular role of the group, which is to develop Egbaland for the prosperity of all.
