Three people were said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries late last night around KM 38, Lagos-Ibadan expressway when a gas tanker burst into flame.
The LPG tanker was said to be coming outward Lagos towards Sagamu interchange when the incident happened around 10pm Sunday night.
According to statement from the Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State Command, Umar Ahmed, the operatives of the corps from both Mowe and Sagamu units were quickly drafted to the scene of the accident to salvage the situation.
The FRSC Sector Commander said "we have equally contacted the men of Ogun State and Federal Fire Service for the much needed intervention. Information available as at the time of this report showed that the tanker had three adult male occupants, all injured and were taken to Idera hospital Sagamu for medical attention.
"The details of vehicle could not be gotten yet as the fire is still burning. However, the fire fighters contacted just arrived the scene".
