The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, met with the man behind a funning drawing of him, Taiwo Osinowo popularly call Boda Taiye Oniyakuya with a pledge to pay the artist the drawing.
Taiwo went viral a few days ago when he shared a drawing he made of the Governor on social media.
He captioned it, “I drew his excellency, Governor of Lagos State @jidesanwoolu. I thank God for the successful work. I think his excellency will love it. I still remain the best artist in UAR.”
His work got the attention of the Governor who tweeted, “So, it’s me you drew like this? I’m guessing you’ll like to present it to me, abi? Ok, come and present it to me in my office. Hmmmm…”

The drawing was today presented to Sanwo-Olu by Taiye at the Lagos Youth Symposium event held at the LTV Blue Roof Agidingbi, Ikeja.
Speaking after the presentation, Taiye stated that he was warned not to meet the Governor because the drawing he made is a caricature
The artist who was at the event with his twin brother said he was reminded that the Governor’s office is not far from a maximum prison.
However, Sanwo-Olu who called him up to the podium promised that nothing will happen to him, adding that the drawing will be paid for to appreciate his work.
