As directed by the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun during the Teachers' Day celebration on October 5, the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) will today begin distribution of appointment letters to successful applicants of Ogun Teach programme.
As a way of tackling the challenges of acute shortage of teaching personnel in the state, Gov Dapo Abiodun had ordered immediate release of engagement letters of 5000 successful applicants for teaching appointment in the state.
In an exclusive chat with Newsorbit moments ago, the Chairman, Teaching Service Commission, Ogun State, Evang Lekan Ifede confirmed this piece of good news.
Evang Ifede who thanked Gov Abiodun for graciously approving the release of the letters for the teachers said "yes, we are beginning the distribution of letters to the first batch of the successful Ogun Teach applicants today, we are continuing on Monday by the grace of God. We appreciate our governor for his unrepentant commitment to repositioning the education sector in the state and it is our belief that these new set of teachers will reciprocate this kind gesture and show greater dedication at their various duty posts".
