The death has been announced of the wife of Alakenne of Ikenne Remo, Olori Caroline Oluyemisi Onakade. She was said to have died early Tuesday morning morning at 82 after a brief illness.
The Chairman of Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye has however condoled with the Alakenne of Ikenne Remo, Oba Adeyinka Onakade over the demise of his dutiful wife describing the passage of the Olori as a huge loss to the local government and the entire Ogun State.
Hon Ogunleye, according to statement from the Director of Information of the local government, Mr Tope Oyekan, made this disclosure during his condolence visit to the monarch on Tuesday.
The Chairman was said to have described the death of Olori Oluyemisi as most painful and unfortunate, particularly, when her companionship was most needed by the royal father, in the discharge of his responsibility as a traditional ruler.
Hon Ogunleye expressed his deepest sympathy to Oba Onakade, and all those left behind to mourn the death of the Olori, as he prayed that God grant them the fortitude to bear her departure.
The LG boss also prayed for the repose of the gentle soul of the deceased.
