One of Nigeria's most enduring entertainment personalities, Prof. Sir Victor Uwaifo is dead . Sources confirmed that he died during a brief illness on Saturday August 28 , 2021.
The legend musician was born on March 1st 1941 in Benin City, Edo State
Sir Uwaifo cut a niche for himself as a musicologist, musician, writer, sculptor, musical instrument inventor, University lecturer and robust entertainer .
A music legend in his own right, he was the first Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism in Nigeria.
He would be remembered for his sterling contributions to the.music industry and his Guitar Boy track remains an Evergreen that will continue to endure for many generations
