Ogun police arrest three suspects for looting warehouse


Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command say they have arrested three suspects for allegedly looting a warehouse belonging to Sky Industry Limited situated at OPIC Estate Agbara in Ado/Odo Ota Local Government area of the state.

The suspects are Jelili Waheed (33), Otun Taye (44), and Olu Adeniran (46).

The state Police Public Relations Officer,  Abimbola Oyeyemi, said they were arrested on Tuesday August 10, 2021,following an information received at Agbara Divisional headquarters of the command that some hoodlums were vandalising and looting the warehouse of the company.

He said the Divisional Police Officer, Agbara, SP Saleh Dahiru mobilised detectives to the scene where the three-member syndicate were rounded up at about 4pm.

Oyeyemi added that item recovered from them was one Iveco Truck with number plate AKD 747 XZ which they used to convey one Forklift, one 300KVA Generator and one 25 KVA Generator property of the company.

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police,   Edward Ajogun has ordered a thorough investigation into the past activities of the suspects with a view to charging them to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
