Former Vice Chairman of Ikenne local government, Alhaja Funmilayo Sholola has joined other notable Nigerians to condole with Gov Dapo Abiodun over the death of his father, Pa (Dr) Emmanuel Abiodun.
Alhaja Funmilayo Sholola in a statement made available to journalists described the death of Pa Emmanuel Abiodun fondly called 'Baba Teacher' as a great loss to Ogun state and Nigeria in general owing to the late educationist invaluable and glowing contributions to the development of education in the country.
The business tycoon further described Pa Emmanuel Abiodun who died on Wednesday, August 2 at 89 as "a great community leader, an accomplished educationist whose love for his family and the people around him should be benchmark for all".
She said "I am sure our Papa died a very fulfilled man in every sense of it and even left a very rich legacy of selfless service behind just as we can see in the good work of his son, Gov Dapo Abiodun across Ogun state.
"It's on this note that on behalf of myself, my family and my extended political associates, I condole with Gov Abiodun and the entire people of Ikenne local government over the departure of this our loving father. May our Baba's loving soul rest in peace and may the almighty God grant us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss".
