Abiodun's aide urges youths to draw lessons from life and times of Pa Emmanuel Abiodun

The Special Assistant to Gov Dapo Abiodun on Youths and Sports, Comr Olamide Lawal has urged Nigerian youths to draw worthy lessons of selfless service and dedication to making the country a lot better from the life and times of Pa Emmanuel Abiodun, the father of Ogun State governor who died last week Monday at 89.

Olamide Lawal made this call on Thursday when the various youth groups led by him paid condolence visit to the family house of Gov Abiodun at Iperu Remo as part of activities to commemorate this year International Youth Day.

He said the group had decided to use this year occasion to celebrate the life and times of the late educationist and invaluable community leader with the sole aim of drawing the attention of the youths in the state to the sterling qualities of the late patriarch which should be imbibed by all

Olamide said "what is glaring about our departed patriarch, Pa Emmanuel Abiodun was that he lived for others to be great, that's however not surprising as he was a conscientious teacher, a selfless community leader, a very successful father that has given us Gov Dapo Abiodun, another illustrious son
and loving father to the youth who has left no one in doubt that Ogun State is destined to be great under his leadership.

"I hereby urged the youths across the state and Nigeria as a whole to imbibe Pa Emmanuel Abiodun's love for selfless service, kindness to others, humility and dedicated commitment to making the country a lot better. We all owed the late educationist this great honour and we really can't do less to preserve his rich legacies.

"Ogun State youths at home and abroad commiserate with our father, Gov Dapo Abiodun and the entire family on this irreplaceable loss and we pray that the almighty God will grant all of us the grace to keep standing very strong as we are comforted that our Baba lived an exemplary life that is worthy of emulation for all"

Speaking during the event, the Chairman of Ogun State Youth Council, Comrade Abduljabaar Ayelabi said the youths have not really come to mourn but to celebrate the exit of Pa Emmanuel Abiodun while drawing some virtuous lessons from his dedicated life of service and love for others.

Other youth groups at the event were National Youth Council, Remo Youths Association, Egba Youth Network, Yewa Awori Youth Council, Ijebu Youths Association ,Yoruba Council Youth Association, All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League among others.
