Ogun LG polls: AA kicks off campaign, eyes dislodging APC in 2023

The leader of Action Alliance in Ogun State, Hon Dapo Adeyemi has said that the party is a credible alternative to misrule Nigerians might have suffered under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or the ruling government of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

Hon Dapo Adeyemi stated that, though, the party already has its eyes set on dislodging APC government from Oke Mosan, Abeokuta in 2023 but its focus now is on taking over grassroots governance in the state during the forthcoming local government elections slated for Saturday, July 24.

Adeyemi made this revelation on Saturday during the flag off campaign of the party for the local government elections held at Ake, Abeokuta.

He described AA as a party that cares for the teeming Nigerians and can feel their pains saying that the party would not abandon any of its campaign promises if  the residents of the state decided to vote for the party in the coming local government elections.

Adeyemi said he knew that the two big parties, PDP and APC are set to have crisis saying that AA remain a credible and alternative platform where  those leaving APC and PDP could embrace and find very comfortable

Speaking earlier, the National Chairman, Action Alliance (AA), Hon Adekunle Rufai said that the party is quite different to other parties in that it does not believe in Godfatherism but rather allow competence, equity, fairness and justice to flourish in the party.

Rufai also warned against some impostors who he said had been long expelled from the party but are still parading themselves leaders of the party urging the security agencies to do the needful against such people.

According to Rufai, Udeze could not have been elected as the party’s National Chairman or as any other executive member since he was expelled from the party, adding that he, (Rufai) remains the only authentic and recognized national chairman of the party.

Rufai urged the residents of the state to come out and vote en mass for AA saying that it is a party that is committed to making life a lot more rewarding for the people at the grassroots.
