Gov Abiodun's Aide, Lawal Urges Youths To Embrace National Values, Bags Award


Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor on Youths and Sports, Comrade Olamide Lawal has advised youths in the country to be patriotic in their deeds and actions towards sustaining the nation, leadnewsng.com reports.

Comrade Lawal who recalled that Nigeria had several values with which it was known for, urged the youths to be progressive-minded about state of affairs in the country.


The Special Assistant made this assertions in his Keynote address at the Presidents' Summit 2021, organised by the Youth Fellowship of the Methodist Church, Nigeria, held at Wesley University, Ondo town in Ondo State. 

According to him, " Change is inevitable and no matter how traditionalists try to repel change, the beliefs of the Progressives about change is more embedded in reality" 

"Despite the reality of this ideology,  certain things do not just change with time, like our beliefs and value systems, instead they grow stronger with time" he explained. 

Lawal pointed out that the need for nation building and effective recovery of the country to her old days of glory is the collective responsibility of the youths.

He applauded the efforts of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his belief and trust in the youths of the state, by engaging them in economically viable ventures through lofty initiatives of his administration.

Highlight of programme was the conferement of "Future Impacts Award" on the Governor's aide.
