Operatives of Ogun state police command has arrested one Suleman Kazeem, an alleged notorious member of the dreaded Aye cult group in Sagamu for killing another cultist fondly called "Ajekunrin''.
Suleman Kazeem and his Aye cult members were said to have engaged in supremacy fight with the rival cult group, Eye confraternity when they killed Ajekunrin cutting off his two hands.
Açcording to statement from the Spokesman of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi on Saturday, the suspect was arrested, following distress call received by the DPO Sagamu Division, CSP Okiki Agunbiade, that two rival cult groups, Aye and Eye confraternity were engaging in supremacy battle at Latawa area of Sagamu and thereby making life difficult for innocent members of the community.
The statement stated further that "upon the distress call, the DPO mobilized his men and moved to the scene and on getting there, it was discovered that a member of Eiye confraternity simply identified as "Ajekunrin" had been killed by the rival group with his two hands cut off".
The DPO and his men, in conjunction with the vigilante group were however said to have trailed the group to Agbowa area of Sagamu, where they succeeded in arresting one of their leaders, Suleman Kazeem.
Recovered from this alleged notorious killer were double barrel locally fabricated pistol, one live cartridge and one mobile phone.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to anti cultists section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
