The National leadership of Ijebu Youths Association has thrown their weight behind the Chairmanship aspiration of Hon Dare Alebiosu, the Proprietor of Almar Football Club, describing him as a young, energetic and visionary leader that has all it takes to restore excellent grassroots governance at Ijebu Ode local government.
The National President of the youth group, Comr Wasiu Okikiola Fayomi stated this at a press conference held on Friday at Iwe Iroyin, the secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta.
Speaking during the press briefing, Comr. Wasiu Fayomi who was accompanied by some other youths from Ijebu land said that the youth group decided to pitch its tent with Dare Alebiosu fondly called Drey because his ambition represented a fresh breath of purposeful leadership at the grassroots.
Fayomi said "there is no denying the fact that of all that are eyeing the APC Chairmanship ticket for Ijebu Ode local government, Dare Alebiosu remained the most suitable. He is young, very enterprising, accessible, selfless and always willing to serve, he is also quite conversant with our challenges here at Ijebu Ode local government, he remains the best choice to replicate the good work of Gov Dapo Abiodun at the grassroots''.
The youth leader disclosed further that "as a promoter of government of inclusion and Apostle of youth participation in politics and governance, we are therefore using this medium to plead with Gov Dapo Abiodun to give this young and brilliant politician opportunity to be the next executive Chairman of Ijebu Ode local government".
