The frontline Chairmanship aspirant for Ikenne local government, Alhaja Mujidat Funmilayo Sholola has joined millions of residents of Ogun State to celebrate the two years purposeful leadership of Gov Dapo Abiodun as well as his 61 years birthday saying that the governor is no doubt God's given gift to humanity.
Alhaja Mujidat Funmilayo Sholola stated this in a chat with our Correspondent.
The highly successful textile merchant and topnotch grassroots mobiliser of note declared that with all the turn around Ogun State has witnessed in all sectors in the last two years under Gov Dapo Abiodun, it won't be immodest to say the governor has become a model for others to study in good governance.
Alhaja Sholola said "I am always proud to have come from same local government with His Excellency, Gov Dapo Abiodun because here is a politician and highly successful oil and gas magnate making so much difference in the way our people are governed.
"In the last two years, every part of Ogun State has been object of his focus for development. The education sector with rehabilitation and construction of over 700 classrooms is there for all to see, what of the massive upgrading of all our primary health centres and other health facilities owned by the state government?"
"The governor has equally demonstrated so much committed interest in infrastructure, Ogun is now a massive construction site and the road projects we are talking about here have direct impact on the lives of people of the state.
"Some of these roads are Ijebu Ode-Epe ten lane dualization project, the reconstruction of Sagamu-Siun-Abeokuta expressway, Ajuwon-Alagbole- Akute road, the recently flagged off Lusada-Atan-Agbara among several others
"These are in addition to so many other access road projects across the 20 local government. In my own town here, Ilisan Remo, aside constant maintenance of existing roads, the Market road and some others are under construction with standard drainages
"What of in the area of Agriculture and housing? The governor is doing so much wonders in these sectors such that many youths through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) backed Anchor Borrowers programme have been taken off the street. The housing projects have also gotten many people to be productively engaged with the ultimate aim of ensuring that people have a roof over their heads and live a decent life, the list is certainly endless.
"Just like many people have opined, I strongly believe that Gov Abiodun has so far justified the confidence reposed in him and he is certainly good enough for another term of four years".
Alhaja Sholola said "luckily, our dear governor is having two in one celebration today, his refreshing administration is two years old and he is also 61 years on earth surface. I rejoice with His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun on these two occasions and my sincere prayers is that he will continue to wax stronger every day of his life In sha Allah. Igba odun odun kan ni sir".
