Baruwa leads Sagamu LG APC Chairmanship primaries

Hon Gbenga Baruwa, the incumbent transition Committee Chairman of Sagamu local government has been declared winner of the free and fair All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship primaries held ahead of the forthcoming local government elections slated for Saturday, July 24.

The peaceful party primaries held at Sagamu country home of Ogun East APC Chairman, Otunba Adedoyin Koya saw Hon Gbenga Baruwa polling 24 votes while Afolabi Odulate and Tope Adesanya trailed behind with 16 and 12 votes respectively.

The party had earlier, açcording to Gov Dapo Abiodun's instruction during stakeholders meeting of the ruling party last week pruned down Chairmanship aspirants vying for the tickets of the party in the local government from about 12 to three.
