The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde has charged athletes representing Ogun State at the ongoing National Sport Festival in Edo State, to be good ambassadors and put in their best in the competition, as Ogun is known for excellence.
Dr Kehinde gave the charge, while paying a solidarity visit to the State contingent at the Aminu Kano Hall, University of Benin, urging them to make the State proud and justify the government’s investment in sports.
He assured them that the State would reward good effort, while their welfare would not be taken for granted.
So far at the ongoing festival, Team Ogun has won a Gold Medal in Taekwondo, a Silver Medal in Badminton and Bronze Medals in Gunshu Taolu and Jianshu events of demonstration.
