Breaking: Abbducted 13-yr old boy in Ogun regains freedom

A 13-year-old boy, Gbolahan Ajibola abducted on Saturday night by some gunmen at Obada-Oko in Ewekoro Local government area of Ogun State is said to have been released.

This is coming barely 24 hours when one Dr Oladuni Odetola who heads General Hospital, Imeko and a nurse, Mrs Bamgbose abducted by some gunmen along Abeokuta-Imeko road last week Wednesday were freed

A short video of the boy reuniting with his mother had surfaced on different WhatsApp groups on Tuesday night. His mother and others in the video were heard saying "thank you Jesus" repeatedly


The gunmen, who were six in number were reportedly said to have laid ambush on Ajibola's family as they were returning to their house around 9pm on Saturday at Destiny Estate, Obada-Oko in Ewekoro local government area of the state.

Our Correspondent further learnt that, the victim, his mother and grandmother were returning from their shop after attending the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) programme where the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye had ministered when the gunmen swoop on them.

The gunmen, who were hiding in a nearby bush close to the victim's house, pounced on the family when Ajibola alighted from his mother's car to open the gate.

It was learnt that, both the victim's mother, Bisi Ajibola and the grandmother were mercilessly beaten by the gunmen.
