Breaking: Juju scare in Ogun secondary school

Activities at Isanbi Comprehensive High School, Ilisan Remo, Ikenne local government area of Ogun State was temporarily put on hold on Thursday following the discovery of fetish palm fronds such as the one usually use in shrines tied to the entrance of of the office of the Principal of the Junior Section of the school, Mrs Olu-James.

The staff and students of the school were said to have been greatly disturbed by this strange incident as nobody could really say why and who was behind the the fetish act.

Although, an SS3 student who was beaten on Tuesday by one of the teachers in the senior section of the school was said to have brought his elder brother to the school on Wednesday to create a scene but everything was said to have quietened after the involvement of the police.

Incidentally, the Chairman of Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Evangelist Olanrewaju Ifede who is an indigene of the town was said to have raced to the school to help salvage the situation.

Our Correspondent gathered that the Oluwo of Ilisan Remo, Chief Fagorala was the one who came around to remove the fetish palm fronds after allegedly mouthing some words.

The TESCOM Chairman was reportedly said to have warned the students to face their studies as that was only way to reciprocate the massive investment of the present administration in revamping the education sector as any students caught indulging in anti-social vices would be dealt with aƧcording to the provision of the law.

The school was said to have held an emergency Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting yesterday evening with some police officers from Ilisan Remo and Sagamu on how to forestall such occurrence in the future.
